Show presented in French.
About the show
Starting October 22, French writer-composer-performer Michel Sardou will be the centre of attention at the Cabaret du Casino
de Montréal, by way of an exceptional "tribute" by Jean Ravel and his four musicians.
Spectators will be immersed in Sardou's incredible œuvre, and to be sure, songs such as La maladie d'amour, En chantant, Les lacs du Connemara, Les Ricains, Le France and Je vais t'aimer will evoke many vivid and wonderful memories.
Considered by many as one of the most popular French singers, to go by record sales and shows that are forever sold-out, Sardou
remains a mythic presence on the musical landscape. Both revered and controversial, Sardou is a great romantic and nostalgic
figure, and forever inspired by the world around him.
Throughout a career that has spanned more than forty years, Sardou has never stepped back from his experiences, and his observations
are what fill his very impressive body of work: 23 studio albums, more than 300 songs… It is this major presence in the history
of contemporary French song that Jean Ravel (Starmania, Notre-Dame de Paris, Rock Story, Sous les ponts de Paris) has chosen to salute with this intimate performance.
