About the show

Back by popular demand, the Hommage à Grease musical ensemble is getting ready to put in some overtime at the Cabaret du Casino de Montréal. After some twenty highly lauded performances this spring, the show’s four singers and four dancers, who are as remarkable as they are colourful, will take to the stage, from September 24 to October 19, 2008. This is the perfect opportunity to discover or rediscover this lively musical tribute to the legendary film that launched John Travolta’s career.

Flashy costumes and spectacular voices are par for the course for this revival of a great era when doing the twist was all the rave, and the big names on everyone’s lips were Elvis Presley, Connie Francis and Brenda Lee… To the infectious beats of a rock and roll and boogie woogie mix, the ensemble takes us back to the famous Rydell high school, where we find Rizzo, Kenny K., Frenchie, and of course the naïve and romantic Sandy and her seductive beau, Danny.

Singers Guylaine Tanguay, Roxanne Filion, Yanick Lanthier and Alain Roy, along with dancers Claudine Olivier, Nancy Loof, Jason Noël and Serge Groulx have been selected to fill the shoes of these larger-than-life characters. These accomplished performers are ready to kick off the party at the Cabaret du Casino!
