Winner of the Félix for best album in the World Music category at the 2007 ADISQ gala, the charming and multilingual Florence K will be hitting the stage at the Cabaret du Casino de Montréal for the first time. Following the stellar success of her Bossa Blue tour, the singer-composer-songwriter promises another unforgettable evening, this time featuring songs from her new album, delightfully entitled La historia de Lola.
Spectators can be sure that Florence K will once again wisp them away to her singular universe, where the hot rhythm of bossa, salsa and blues converge with remarkable ease. A colourful array and songs that travel from French to English, Spanish and Portuguese will come alive on stage with the complicity of seven musicians, including one Cuban section. A guaranteed burst of sunshine!
All that is left to say is that Florence K, always accompanied by her piano, is an outstanding musician, who has chosen the world as her audience by drawing from a variety of musical styles that move her and by creating a repertoire that knows no boundaries.
