Jean-Pierre Curtat
Chef Curtat completed his studies at the Institut de tourisme et d'hôtellerie du Québec in 1979, after which he went on to intern at various prestigious hotels and restaurants, including Daniel Dunas' Chez Bardet.
He later assumed the management of the kitchen at the Délégation générale du Québec in Paris for what would be a five-year stay. His time in France enabled him to hone his skills at various distinguished Parisian establishments, including Pré Catelan and Guy Savoie, as well as at La marmite in La Rochelle. He also used the opportunity to perfect his pastry and baking skills at École Lenôtre.
Returning to Québec in 1987, Jean-Pierre Curtat helped open the Manoir Rouville-Campbell, located in the shadow of Mont Saint-Hilaire, where he took on the role of Executive Chef.
In 1991, he participated in the opening of the InterContinental Hotel Montréal.
Chef Curtat also actively promotes Québec's products and specialities both here at home and in the United States, Spain and Japan.
