Opening Hours

The Casino is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Admission

Admission is restricted to patrons 18 and over, including the restaurants and the Cabaret du Casino.
Any person who appears to be younger than 25 years old will have to provide Security personnel with a picture ID.

Security

The Casino de Montréal is equipped with highly sophisticated security and surveillance systems, and security personnel are strategically posted both inside and outside the facility.

Collecting your Winnings

Game winnings are paid out in full and are non-taxable.

Located at Parc Jean-Drapeau, across from the Old Port of Montréal, the Casino is readily accessible by car or public transportation.

Gift Chips

The Casino sells gift chips in denominations of $5, $10, $25 and $100. Gift chips can be purchased from the Casino's cashiers only.

Cabaret Gift Certificates

Ideal for every occasion and redeemable at the Casino de Montréal box office for any show, Cabaret gift certificates are perfect for family and friends! These gift certificates come in denominations of $10, $20 and $50 and are valid for up to one year from the date of purchase.

Banking and Foreign Exchange Services

  • An on-premises branch of the National Bank of Canada is open 24 hours a day,
    seven days a week.
  • Exchange service for some 30 different currencies is provided at the branch.
  • Safety deposit boxes are available for rental.
  • National Bank accounts can be opened on-site.
  • Traveller's cheques can be cashed at the branch (Canadian dollar, U.S. dollar and Euro).
  • Federal law prohibits us from providing credit, credit card advances or cashing personal cheques.

Parking at the casino is free. Valet service is available at the main entrance.

Cloakroom

Free coat check service is available.

Wheelchair Service

Wheelchairs are available free of charge to clients during their visit. These can be obtained at any of the cloakrooms, with proof of identity. We do not accept wheelchair reservations and cannot guarantee availability.

Policies and Regulations

Dress Code

Designed to help preserve its excellent image and international reputation, the Casino de Montréal's dress code prohibits:

  • strapless tops
  • cut-off T-shirts and sweatshirts
  • camisoles and tank tops
  • jogging suits (cotton and nylon)
  • cut-off and cycling shorts (bermuda shorts are acceptable)
  • beachwear
  • work or motorcycle boots
  • any clothing bearing a violent image or slogan, or associated with a group known to be engaged in violent activities

Tasteful running shoes and denim pants are acceptable.
Please note that business attire is required for admission to the Nuances restaurant.

  • The use of photographic equipment is prohibited inside the Casino.
  • The Casino is a smoke-free establishment.*
* On May 31, 2006, Québec's three casinos became non-smoking establishments. They now provide guests with a completely smoke-free environment, including in all gaming areas, bars, restaurants, performance halls and reception halls. However, for the benefit of our smoking customers, readily accessible smoking areas have been set up outside.
