By popular demand, Élizabeth Blouin-Brathwaite, Johanne Blouin, Patsy Gallant and Nancy Martinez will return to the Théâtre du Casino du Lac‑Leamy in June 2009 with extras performances of Vénus.

The applause is already resonating in response to the chic and sublime performances that take place on stage, in solos, duets, trios and quartets! Imagine being treated to Johanne and Élizabeth working together on You Are So Beautiful (Joe Cocker), Nancy diving into Natural Woman (Aretha Franklin), or Patsy making hits like CCR’s Proud Mary all her own. And there’s more! Picture these performers belting out tunes by Christina Aguilera, Bette Midler and Barbra Streisand, or becoming “Disco Queens” for the night to light up the stage with I’m Every Woman by Chaka Khan.

Chiselled like diamonds for powerful vocals, the songs featured in the Vénus line‑up all share in common the need to be performed with finesse and strength, while respecting the performers who brought them to the fore. To help them shine their very brightest, expert guitarist Simon Godin (Belle et Bum, Richard Séguin, …) serve as music director, backed by five other musicians. Last but not least, we can’t forget the prolific contribution of Monik Vincent (choreography), Yves Lapierre (vocal arrangements), Pierre-Olivier Lapointe (scenography), Andrew McNally (stylist) and Matthieu Larivée (lighting).
